This week has been a tough one – winter and I don't like each other very much.
It's been cold and rainy which makes it a challenge to get out and get the runs
done. The group runs have been fine but going out by myself hasn't been so easy.
It's just too tempting (and easy) to stay inside all cosy next to the heater. Even
assignments seem like a better option than going out for a run at the moment. I
just keep telling myself not long to go! I've done all this training in the last few
months so I'm not about to let it go to waste now. I will try to do some more runs
with other people over these last few weeks to keep myself going and get ready
for race day.
Hope your preparation is going well, not long to go now!
I have definitely stepped up my training in the last couple of weeks by doing a
few longer runs and with speed sessions. I normally don't feel sore or stiff after
running but I have been lately, and as strange as it may sound I love that feeling. I
know if my body is a bit sore I've worked hard and pushed myself. In saying that
it is still very important to have rest and easy days so I always split up my hard
or steady run days with an easy day in between.
