
Only a week to go and I'm getting excited! I'm feeling good and ready to go. I've
had a full on last week of training. I'm feeling a bit tired and sore especially after
Tuesday's speed session and Thursdays pack run. We did Tuesday's session on the
grass, which I'm not used to – the legs definitely noticed the difference.
On Thursday I had some great people at the clubrooms that really pushed me to my limits and I
managed to do a good long hard run. I can't stress enough how much of a difference
having people to run with makes. I would not have had such a good build up without
them. So a big thanks goes out to all the guys and gals down at the Hawks that have
kept me motivated and keep pushing me further with my training every week. I am
looking forward to the taper week coming up – time to chill out and get the body
rested up for the big day on Sunday. I received my race number and chip this week
and managed to score my lucky number so hopefully things will keep coming my way
for the race this weekend!
