When do entries close?
Entries close Wednesday 11th May. After that date a late fee applies and transponders will not be posted out.

What does my entry money pay for?
There is a myriad of things involved in organising and event such as the Huntly half marathon - from entry forms and advertising to Traffic management and portaloo hire.

Why must I sign a disclaimer?
Hamilton City Hawks are affiliated to Athletics NZ and as such are covered by ANZ’s $5m Public Liability insurance. A huge amount of planning has been carried out to ensure the safety of all entrants in the event - however unforeseen things may happen. The disclaimer is a standard clause for event organisers.

Does the entry money go to any charity?
A lot of local organisations and clubs benefit from the Huntly Half marathon.

Can I get a refund if I decide to pull out?
Refunds will be available less an administration fee up to the 11th May. A bank account number must be supplied by email.

Can I give my entry to someone else?
Up to 11th may – Administration fee applies.

Will there be somewhere to leave my gear?
The Huntly Scouts provide gear storage in their club rooms adjacent to the Finish area.

Is the course accurately measured?
The course has been measured to Athletics NZ standards.

How much training do I need to do to complete a half marathon?
Check out the training guides on this website.

What if I enter the 10km and then decide to do the half marathon?
Email the organiser - info@huntlyhalf.co.nz

What if I enter the half marathon then decide to only do the 10km?
As above.

What if I enter the walk but then want to run the course?
The walk is non judged and we rely on the integrity of entrants to walk if they are entered in the walk. If you intend to walk/run please email info@huntlyhalf.co.nz

What if I enter the run and need to walk?
No worries.

Is there first aid assistance on the day?
St Johns have been contracted to provide two ambulance units.

What happens if I need to stop or need help during the course?
Please speak to a marshall who will contact the appropriate person.

What powers do the course officials hold?
Course officials can disqualify anyone seen disobeying course rules - eg running outside road cones.

Will somebody be taking photos at the finish line?
Please check the entry form.

Is there food and drink to buy after the race?
There will be a number of food stalls.

Can I have my supporters ride bikes alongside me?
